please tell me the pros and cons on owning sugar gliders also known as flying squirrels. thanks?
Q. i see them advertised now and then and this is one rodent i havent had. lolol i love animals.
Asked by Con H - Fri Nov 27 19:49:06 2009 - Rodents - 2 Answers - 1 Comments

A. Gliders are not rodents, they are marsupials. They are also not flying squirrels, that is a different pet, with very different care requirements. Sugar gliders are very high maintenance pets. They are expensive to purchase and even more money to keep. They range from $150 and up, depending on colors. Overall start up cost(including gliders, toys, cage, etc) is at least $1000, and sometimes more. Temperament: Sugar gliders are extremely active and very social animals and do not like to live alone. If you would like to own a sugar glider, plan on having more than one. A lonely sugar glider who is deprived of social interaction, will not thrive. They will become depressed and lonely, which can cause them to die. They need interaction with… [cont.]

A. As in airplane travel? People flying in airplanes is an advantage because it is a quick way to travel from point A to point B. People flying in airplanes can also be a disadvantage because of the uncomfortable seat which does not allow for much room to streach. Traveling in airplanes can also be exciting and fun for the whole family especially children who have never been on an airplane as opposed to a boring car trip. Airline travel can also be scary for those who have a fear of flying and crashing down to earth. Airplane travel can also be an advantage because people are allowed to sleep rather than be forced to stay awake and drive. Airplane travel can also be a major disaster and kill alot of people if one were to crash as opposed to a… [cont.]

Are NATO and the UN close to creating a no-fly zone in Libya?
Q. I think a no fly zone would be a right decision if it is put in place in the north of the country up near where most of the heavy fighting is between pro and anti gadaffi forces, i know that the pro gaddafi forces are now winning the ground war but this is mainly due to the libyan air forces and if a no fly zone is created then I believe that the anti gaddafi forces can then take back the cities they have lost and march onto tripoli.

How do most airline pilots get license? And what are pros and cons of each?
Q. a. private flying school b. military c. university program And what are pros and cons of each? Which would you prefer? (by the way exclude military route... because I don't want to spend more than 10 years in military) Is attending private flying school a big waste of money???
Asked by Pilot R - Tue Mar 17 20:12:45 2009 - Aircraft - 4 Answers - Comments

A. In the USA, since 1980, approximately 40% of all airline pilots did their training at a private flying school or university. 60% earned their experience through the military. 95% of airline pilots hold a 4-year degree or higher. (these statistics come directly from government and industry studies). It is unknown what percent age of the airline pilots graduated from an aviation university, but as a guess I'd say maybe 20% at most. Whether taking the civilian or military route, plan on investing about 10 years on education, training and work experience before you'll be qualified to apply to a major airline and have a good chance of being hired. Only 50% of all commercial pilots make it to a major airline, but only about 25% of military pilot… [cont.]

A. The adventure of the open road, just you and the car radio; or being wedged between two supermodels, while the flight is delayed and they both fall asleep practically in your arms, and you all three become great friends and they go home with you in Seattle. or make that the same scenario, only, being wedged between two lumberjacks... I'll take the car by myself.

Asked by Boricua - Thu Apr 29 18:55:33 2010 - Parenting - 3 Answers - Comments

A. I have flown with both of my kids when they were 1 and they were fine. It was way easier to fly with them at 1 than it was to fly with them at 2. Just remember if you weren't on that short plane ride you would be on a really long car ride. I have to make a 17 hour car trip by myself with a 3yo and a 5yo this summer. I would much rather take a plane!!! But I am bringing 3 other people back with me so flying is out. You will be fine, just remember a fave blanky or toy. take bottles or sippy cups and snacks. Your little one will probably sleep most of the way...both of mine did. I was prepared for everything and needed very little.

Q. I am a mother of twin four year old girls and they don't like part day pre school.., but I don't know if staying at home everyday (5 days a week) all day is going to "fly" with me.. any thoughts?? A. I totally know what you mean! I love my own dear daughter but it can be tough being home all day with her by myself five days a week all day. Seems like there are some positives: you say your daughters don't really like their part day preschool, so staying at home might make them happier. The extra money would be good. It wouldn't be forever---am I right in saying that it would largely be until they start kindergarten next year? And I think it would be different being at home with them as part of a larger group of kids then being at home with them by yourself. I know when my daughter has friends over they can play together rather than depending upon me to entertain her. The cons? It's hard putting off school, even if it's only temporarily.… [cont.]

Q. I will be looking for a flight that arrives in either city in the late evening and staying overnight or possibly have 4-5 hours available in the daytime. Which city is best to spend some time in?
Asked by dropzone9540 - Thu Jan 31 05:45:55 2008 - Other - Europe - 1 Answers - Comments

A. Heathrow is a huge airport, it has all you need, and enough to get lost in. Brussels is a smaller airport, will still have enough, but not in the same amounts. In both cases it will take at least an hour to leave the airport and go to town, and you will need at least 2 hours to get back, and maybe more when it is busy at the airport to go through all security checks. So 5 hours will get you about 1 hour in town, not worth taking the risk. If you stay overnight and have about 4 hours in the evening, I would go to Brussels, as it is a smaller town, and in a few hours you can get a good impression and not feel lost. London is so big that it takes more than a day to get your bearings. If you have less than 12 hours for an overnight stay, just… [cont.]

3D City Construction and Fly-Thru in After Effects 7 Pro?
Q. Hey everybody, I'm not a noob to After Effects, but I did have a question regarding it. I know that a 3D city can be constructed (as per Andrew Kramer's most recent tutorial on cityscapes), but I was wondering that if after you've constructed the city, is it possible to fly through it and if so, is there an easier way to do it besides adjusting the position? Thanks for your help!

A. Well since you are on videocopilot you might as well use a free preset they have to accomplish this. Watch the tutorial on about the preset suretarget and then download it. But when you use it in the city use a null object rather than text. This preset will automatically adjust your position for you. here's the link to the tutorial, you will want to watch both-

A. My husband and I moved from Oregon to New Jersey 8 yrs ago. My children were 7 and 1 at the time. We chose to drive because it was cheaper to move our items ourselves. We bought a used moving truck for a couple of grand, sold my car, and loaded the other with the kids and animals (we had 2 cats and a dog). My husband drove the van and we took our time stopping at attractions on the way out. It took us 10 days (van trouble) and a bit of money but it was cheaper than having a moving company do it and then storing our stuff when we arrived (our job fell through and we were left in a situation for a couple of months). How do venus fly traps look like in 1 week?
Q. I have venus fly trap seeds and wondering how would they look in 7 days. Would they not sprout yet? Do they show no signs of growing yet? I'm not a pro at this, I'm just wondering and it would be nice to know. Thanks.

A. Growing Venus flytraps from seed is a long and challenging process. If you've never grown an adult venus flytrap before, it's not likely that you'll succeed in growing seeds. However, that doesn't mean you should give up. It usually takes about 3 weeks before the seeds start germinating. But it can take up to a couple of months. Be sure to read this article on growing Venus fly traps from seed: Since you are new to growing Venus flytraps, I'll give you some basic care tips. There are really only 4 things Venus Fly Traps require to stay healthy and flies isn't one of them! Here they are: 1. Sunlight - at least 4 hours of direct sunlight a day 2. Water - rain, distilled or reverse osmosis water only 3. Soil - Nutrient poor soil such as peat… [cont.]

Wondering if I should FLY or not?
Q. I live in Louisiana and I will be traveling to see a friend from grade school and my long lost brother in the same trip. They live in Texas. I was wondering if I should fly there. I have never flown before and a little nervious. I looked up the tickets and they are $218.00 round trip but with an hour stop in GA. I was wondering if it would be cheaper to drive and if i do fly, is it really that bad? Also, if you have flown before tell me what you thought of it kinda of like pros and cons. Thanks in advacne.

A. I live in Texas ^_^. Louisiana is pretty close for driving, but if you don't mind spending the money for flying and want the convenience, then I'd fly. You hear some bad stories about flying, but I wouldn't worry if that's what you want to do. I've been on plane flights four times that I can remember and probably other times that I can't remember. If you decide to fly, then be sure to bring gum. When the plane takes off and when it lands, the pressure changes, which causes your ears to "click." It doesn't really hurt much, but it is annoying and by chewing gum and swallowing a bunch when your ears start to feel like they're going to "click," then you can avoid that. Other than that, don't be worried about the plane… [cont.]

How much were you considering spending? with this information i might be able to suggest a suitable outfit that will be practical and still of reasonable quality. Sadly fly fishing isn't a cheap sport, which i think puts a lot of people off but if you suggest a budget i will do my best to find a suitable outfit, also information on what he fishes for and where would be very useful.
